"Kill It" is a Korean Drama that aired in 2019. The drama tells the story of a professional killer and a veterinarian who unexpectedly become entangled in each other's lives. This unique plotline has captivated viewers with its blend of action, romance, and suspense. On the other hand, it was also criticized for having a weak plot. Plot Summary

The story begins with a professional killer, Kim Soo-hyun, who has been raised and trained as a killer from a young age. To hide his identity, he normally lives as a warm veterinarian. Despite his cold and detached personality, he craves people's affection in fact. His world collides with that of Do Hyun-jin, a detective with a sense of justice. The two find themselves drawn to each other, but their respective dangerous professions and pasts threaten to tear them apart.

As the show progresses, we see Kim Soo-hyun and  Do Hyun-jin working together to solve the mystery and ultimately confront their own pasts. Their growing feelings for each other are met with numerous obstacles, including other killers and corrupt officials. The show is full of action-packed scenes and suspenseful twists.

Attraction points

The biggest attraction of 'Kill It' is the action scenes as the main characters' jobs are killer and detective. Jang Ki-yong, the male lead, received intensive training for his role. In addition, the chemistry between Jang Ki-yong and Nana is undeniable. The two actors bring their characters to life with their natural acting abilities, making viewers fall in love with their story and rooting for their success. Both actors are tall, which makes their chemistry in the action scenes stand out even more. 


Ratings and reviews

"Kill It" received mixed reviews from viewers and critics alike. On one hand, the show's unique plot and captivating characters earned praise from many viewers. It's particularly unique in that the male lead is a killer who kills people, but also a veterinarian who saves animals. 

However, some criticized the show for its unrealistic plotlines and underdeveloped side characters. In this drama, the side characters are too two-dimensional. Not only that, but with so many indirect ads in the show, many viewers complained that the ads were more memorable than the plot. ‘Kill it’ currently has a rating in the 2s on the Korean ratings site, Watchapedia, which is below average.
